Hiking in Holland
There’s nothing quite like a hiking holiday in Holland. The rich and varied landscape is largely flat and there is an extensive network of beautiful landscapes that can be explored not only by bicycle, but also on foot. You can opt for forests, sand dunes and heathlands in the Veluwe, known for its national park and diverse array of flora and fauna. Limburg is also an option, with its rolling hills, delicious cuisine and half-timbered houses.
If you want to experience the typically Dutch lifestyle and go cycling, you can rent bicycles for one or two days and spend the rest of the week enjoying the immediate surroundings. More information can be found here.
Hiking in the Ardennes
The Belgian Ardennes, characterised by rolling hills, dense forests and picturesque villages are visually stunning in any season. Autumn in the Belgian Ardennes, however, is extraordinary. Not only will you be rewarded by the peace and quiet after the summer crowds and before the Christmas markets, but the scenery is also spectacular. Here you can read all about the best walks in the Ardennes!
One of our favourite holiday parks is Vallée les Etoiles, which has collected many awards from our HolidayParkSpecials customers over the years! The detached lodges all boast stunning views of the surroundings, and facilities include tennis courts, sauna, bicycle rental, swimming pool and entertainment programme.
